I started running 4 weeks ago. It has been fun and educational. I didn't think I could continue since I had to mentally prepare myself for the 3xweek run with my sweet Jeremy. It started out at running 2 miles at 30 minutes. We took one of the weeks off to recover so we have actually only been running for 3 weeks. Last week we decided to change it up a bit. Monday we did a fast 10 minute mile. Come on peeps, i know it isn't fast but it is fast for me. I was pulling a 15 mile and shuffling when I started. So i get 3 houses away and I puke all over the street and my legs and my shoes. I wanted that 10 minutes so badly that i pushed myself past the breaking point. Hey go big or go home.(thanks Cort!) Then on Wednesday we decided to do sprints from the end of the Cultasac to the top at the stop sign. Jeremy timed us each time. I did pretty good since it is uphill going and then a jog the way down. On the we did 5 up and 5 back. The last one was suppose to be the best one. Well it was shorter than all the others and followed by an immediate barf-fest. I was kidding about it being the best! I had no idea i was gonna do that either. I don't feel it, I just breathe and out it comes. so gross i know. had to wash the shoes again. Friday we did a nice steady 2 mile run at 25 min 32 sec. wow i took off almost 5 minutes. we were shooting for 25 minutes flat but i didn't want to barf this time so i didn't push it. Our goal is to take off another 5 minutes to run a steady 10 minute without dying and then we will add another mile to the run. Turns out I like the run but not interested in marathon. I just like dating my husband while on a run getting back in shape. I have only lost one pound can you believe that? but my legs are toning and my waist line is getting smaller and my stamina is increasing. My pants are barely starting to fit better. I know it takes time so I just keep reminding myself that I have twins and the weight didn't come over night and it won't go over night. I am hoping to have a great body by Christmas. Attainable and worth it!

Want to see some mouth watering chow? Click on the Made Famous By button to the right and indulge! Your mouth will water and your waist line will expand. My friend Heather McMullin shares some great recipes that keep you coming back for more. I wonder if you gain weight by looking at food pics more than once???
So Jeremy has convinced me to start an exercise regime with him. He takes all the guess work out of it for me so I can just roll with the punches. And after we run a few miles I really just want to be rolled home! I am surprised that I can run longer than I expected 3 times a week but the Tae Bo just about killed me last night! In time I should be able to build up some endurance and I hope to get super fit so I can run circles around the twins and not the other way around. For now, I am encouraged by a loving husband who also wants to get back in shape. So much so, he put up his weight bench and has been working out all by himself. yowza! So I hope to knock off another 40 lbs by Christmas to go along with the 60 I lost with Thing one and Thing two. No pictures just yet since I still look like a bump on a log.

May your blessings outnumber
The Shamrocks that grow.
And may trouble avoid you

but dang it all my boobs need a break! Thanks to Enfamil for making the newborn and infant formula. They have helped us to sleep more at night and enjoy quiet hours during the day. The girls are nursing great and some days I don't really have to use much formula and other days they just can't seem to get enough food in their tummies. The nighttime schedule is pretty good and will probably change once they start another growth spurt. They eat around 10pm, then again around 1:30am, then 4:30am and we start all over for the day at 7am. not too shabby. so we get a little bit of sleep. it works even better when they wake up together. doesn't always happen so those feeding sessions get long. It is all worth it especially now since they are starting to smile and focus on things around them.

So if you think that one baby is alot of work, well let me and all the other parents of multiples just laugh in your face. Right now i average about 3 hours of sleep a night and not all in a row or even one full hour at a time. More like little snatches of sleep here and there between nursing, bottles and comforting. And these kids poop alot and have major gas which makes me crack up and then snuggle them even more since i know it must have hurt there little tummys. I, unfortunatley, am a mother that doesn't produce enough milk for all of her babies. I never have even with my two older girls. They made it to 11 months and 9 months, but the twins have to share what little I have between them so we do supplement alot with formula. And even though it says for fussiness and gas it is still hard on their little bodies to digest. I am still nursing them first as much as they want and then when they are unsatisfied(and they always are) we have the bottle on hand for them. But at 6 weeks they are weighing 8 lbs and starting to hold their heads up and having a great time crying while we have tummy time. The best part about crying is if Jane starts up then Kitty has to get hers in too. So instead of one baby just needing to be comforted, I am alone 90% of the day with both crying and wanting to be held. It is very tricky but I do have a great twins nursing pillow that holds them both. Oi vey! This is gonna be a long year!!

Guess who was up with the cutest twins in the world from midnight to 7am? if you said Celine Dion you are totally wrong. Yes i had a few snippets of sleep in my rocking chair but most of the night was breast on breast off and then the next baby was hungry. so one hour for each baby and then by the time one is done the other is ready and it just keeps on goin' round. so i was cranky and then my carpal tunney became the worst ever and i was a level ten pain and was bawling until i was able to pop some pills to deaden the pain but that was after the blessing. This is one tough recovery. The best part about the recovery is my incinsion is totally fine. no infection and very little pain. alright enough about me i am sure you just want to see pics of them. well they are much cuter than me for sure!

The twins have arrived! They debuted on January 5, 2011 at 2:45pm and 2:47pm. Jane came first weighing in at 6 lbs. 0.7 ounces followed by Kitty(Katherine) at 6lbs 6oz. I know, Kitty was hogging all the food! Jane was 18 inches long and Kitty was 18 1/2. Both are beautiful and totally identical at this point. I am having double vision for sure. There were no complications with the surgery and I am doing great. I feel great being at home and am nursing them on demand. I love their little cries and chin quivers. They sound exactly the same too. We are so excited to have these two little angels with us now. Also, Jeremy is super awesome.

My baby is 5 today! I can't believe it cuz she still acts like a little baby. I have to remind her that 5 year olds don't cry and whine like babies do or else they have to wear a diaper and take naps. That usually sends her a jolt to behave. But we had a great little family party last night to celebrate this once in a lifetime birthday age. Since her birthday is so soon after Christmas, you would think that it would cost alot of money for presents. we have found the opposite to be true. Everything is usually clearanced so we were able to get the My little pony Mermaid castle(?) thingy with an extra set of mini cheerleading ponies to fit right along with it. That cake jeremy made turned out awesome. It was a rainbow cake copied from this blog, but much simpler. She was so surprised! How many kids get a six layered rainbow cake that tastes like cotton candy and decorated with My Little Ponies?? Anyhoo I am so amazed at how much she has grown and changed over the last year. She is still a diva/princess though. I guess you never grow out of that! Happy Birthday Little Emily!
Well my new year was about as exciting as this picture of Menudo.Except there is no way in this life time i would wear those shiny pants. Jeremy made a six layer cake for Emily and i watched Confessions of a Shopaholic. Don't cringe. I love that movie cuz she is so adorable and i love all her clothes and i pretend that i have the money and the body to pull off those outfits. Btw, still pregnant. I have given up on delivering early. My BFF keeps my spirits up by telling me how amazzzing i am that i am carrying twins and "this too shall pass". I think i just wanted to start the new year with those babes already in my arms so i could get this crazy, sleepless, messy house, no shower, leaky boobs, sagging skin, fussy babies year over with.
