From Rags to Riches

I decided to use my free time (when Emily is at preschool) to make something cute from my scraps. I have alot of scraps and not very many ideas so I borrowed one from skip to my lou. It turned out to be super easy and way fun to make. The best part is that someone already showed me how to do it so it took the thinking process and threw it in the trash and left me to freely just follow directions. I couldn't wait to give it to Emily. I know Sarah will be coming home from school and see it and will implore me to make her one too. I can't wait! Personally I think these would make great presents for birthdays, Christmas, Hanukkah, Valentine's Day etc. Or one for every holiday. These are made for smaller children but I don't think it would be hard to make them bigger. Happy Sewing! I would love to see how yours turn out!

I love this feeling!

I can feel different kicks and punches on two sides of my belly. it is the cutest feeling....for now. Until they both find out there strength. hahaha i just felt it again! they are really going to town. As soon as it gets quiet and relaxing they start up and tickle my ribs. I know they will get stronger and might start to make me uncomfortable but for now i am just happy that they are alive and kicking. if anyone is feeling generous while i am getting fatter, or maybe just feeling sad for me i would love to have this shirt.......

Great News

Ok so with twins there are all these perks. Like, your chances of having gestational diabetes is way higher. SCORE! Getting Toxemia early on in the pregnancy. WOW DOUBLE SCORE! High blood pressure, tons of extra weight, killer headaches, your uterus being doubly stretched making it easier to hemorrhage-(i can't spell that word) after birth, aching body parts after working in the garden for 30 minutes, bed rest for the last month, your feet in alot of pain from carrying the extra weight. Doesn't that sound awesome? The best part is the delivery. I was told that they would deliver these girly girls at about 36-37 weeks. Woohoo! Finally some reassurance that i can do this. I will probably be tipping the ricter scale and looking like jabba the hut. But if i don't have to wait until 38-39 weeks then i will just be as happy a pig in a blanket. PS i feel like one already. I guess it is time to post another pic of me. Hope to have my 20 week belly posted here this week. You might be shocked. I know i still am.

Drum Roll Please..............................................

Did you guess boys? or did you guess girls? well i bet you are all dying to know. i would like to congratulate all 4 of you who guessed baby girls. yes, i know it says 3 but i had a late vote. i think i knew deep down inside that they would be girls but i just wanted boys so badly for Jeremy. But he is super happy for girls. he commented " we have two already and i know how to raise them so the twins should be easy." we will now commence with the battle of the names. we agree on one only so far but it is not set in stone. I would like for them to be named Penelope and Victoria but so far we only agree on Jane. oh can you imagine all this estrogen running through our house?!
now that the cats are out of the bag, it is time to bust out some sewing projects. i would like to just buy my favorite crib bedding set but it is expensive so maybe if you all just sent me some money i would be able to afford it. LOL don't send me anything unless you feel compelled to help a mom try to juggle twins, a second grader and a preschooler. PS these girls are already 10 inches long, with one weighing 9oz and the other 8oz. they are growing so fast! i've gained 17lbs so far and 17 more to go! let's hope i can keep it to a total of 35lbs.
isn't this soooo cute! little deer and squirrels! well instead of buying this i decided to make my own crib set. i know, crazy! but it is cheaper and i found some material that looks like dippin' dots the ice cream of the future.
