Apple Pickin' Time

Warren Family Christmas Picture 2008

Sweet Sisters down on the apple farm
So for fun this past weekend we drove all the way to Yucaipa to pick apples out in Glen Orchard. Jeremy had gone out there as a kid and they have a few farms where you can get pick the apples right off the tree and also visit a small pumpkin patch. We went with Grandma Carol, Auntie Amber and little cousin Emerald. It was quite chilly and a bit windy, but that didn't stop the thousands of people from visiting Apple Country. It was insanely crowded. There was no parking and very outrageously priced to buy apples and press cider. So we bought a meduim-sized bag to put our apples in. It was a lot of fun watching the girls do something out of their normal everyday life(picking apples as the super market is ordinary) and learn the importance of eating healthy and reaping what you sow. These trees were 98 years old and still bearing delicious WineSap apples. I am eating one right now and lovin' it. Take that McDonald's!

Sounds like you had a good weekend. I just found out someone in my ward has an apple orchard (who'd have thunk in Arizona?), so maybe we'll be able to do the apple picking thing some time?

Cute family pic! I think it's funny the Jeremy is the one with the biggest smile. Did the photographer say a lame joke that only Jeremy thought was funny?

yeah jeremy said something funny. he was the photographer with the tripod action and camera timer. we all smiled in other pics but this one was the best.

What a darling family photo! I guess we ought to start thinking about one for the Christmas card, too.

Did you know that Jeremy's doppelganger is starring in that new Disney show, Imagination Movers? You gotta check it out! It's crazy! It must be his evil twin. LOL! :D

How cool. You guys are a precious (say like Gollum) family. I love that picture of the girls; they look so grown up.

Love the photoshopped pic. You look great in that pic!! These look like fun. Speaking of men and scrapbooking....Chet proposed to me with a scrapbook that he made of our little dating history. It was filled with pics, ticket stubs, movie stubs, a list of "firsts". It was such a sentimental thing! Hope youre doing well
