Starting the New Year Off Right!

So Jeremy and I felt it was time to sit and watch all 3 of the Lord of The Rings DVD extended versions. We are on the last disc but I am so happy that we have all of them and just sit and relax and see some of the B grade horror shots and the funny lines, drool over beautiful people, agree that no matter how much time you spend with gollum/smeagal you still don't want him in your face telling you anything(you can imagine the stinky raw fish breath and disgusting teeth), or sam being called a "stupid, fat hobbit", notice all the backdrops that looked so real you swore they were the first time you saw them, and marvel at the immense about imagination that Tolkein had to create this fantastic world. If you haven't watched them this year or last year, I'd say it was high time you set aside some of reality to dive into fiction and fantasy and cheer men, a dwarf, elves and hobbits in an epic battle to save Middle Earth. So I know you are all wondering who I drool over. Maybe i should do a poll to see how well anyone knows me.

A-freakin-men... except the drooling over men part. Jeremy is the only man worth drooling over. But even then it is more like a pre-vomit drool than anything else. Regardless, three cheers for Frodo and Sam.

Carson and I watched them when he was 3. I couldn't believe he was never scared, he just loved all the creepy monster things.

sarah too. it was the only movie she would watch and fall asleep too. i think i watched the first one up to leaving the shire about a million times at 2:30am every night for a long time when she was a baby. she even played with the smeagal doll like it was her baby and would sing it to sleep when she got older. it was hilarious. now she won't touch the thing!

She'll forgive you as long as you visit often:) I think many of our "elders" fear nursing homes bedause they're afraid they'll be forgotten.

That is funny sarady cuz the first two are pretty good guesses but Arwen is the elf chick. although i can recognize her beauty and esteem to be that beautiful one day myself, i don't actually drool over her. plus Eowin is the one that says "so few. so few of you have returned.: To which King Theodin replies "We have paid for it with many LIIIIIIIIIVES."

Where did you get that picture?!? David and I have been meaning to sit down and watch that movie series again too. There just never seems to be enough time at night after the boys go to bed...

i found this pic on google pics. it was the funniest so i had to use it. you gotta watch the movies in bits and pieces.

YOU KNOW! We are totally meant to be friends...maybe "soul friends" if that's even something. Shaun and I felt the need, recently, to reconnect with our friends Frodo and Sam and the rest of the gang...so we just finished them last week...too bad we don't have the extended version. I am kind of sad when they're over, I feel like I'm leaving my friends...kind of weird...but i'm sure you know what I'm saying. We've moved on to Harry Potter and are now on the 4th. Miss you guys. Wish we could watch all these together!

It seems you are forgetting how smart I am. I know you don't really like Arwen, but I know you wish you could be her. I was being fecicious. Also, I know Arwen doesn't say "so few..." I was just quoting it for the sake of remembrance. I pictured the blond chick (whose name I did forget, so thanks) the whole time. You will pay for this with many liiiiiiiiiiives!
